Droplets of Verse: ‘Smoked Salmon Socialist’

He thundered on about Thatcherism
From the comfortable easy chair of neoliberalism
He continued to take a considerable pay packet
While the Miners’ Strike caused national blackouts
From a soapbox on a city centre street
Where youths with headphones nodded along to beats
He raged on about inequality
Then went home and had smoked salmon for tea
