Droplets of Verse: ‘Ten Years’

The first year was so fine
Year two was filled with sunshine
Tra la la, year three was a happy song
Number four and the bell was still ringing: DING DONG!
Love was always madly alive in year five
We got to six without Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive’
A magnificent seven saw us up in Heaven
A pulsating eight and still no plates or crockery broken
The ninth year and shivers still ran down my spine
The big one-oh and it’s like poetry, a love so divine
